What you should know about Wakefield H Jane
H. Jane Wakefield is a psychologist, practicing in the Vernon area for over 40 years. I do limited work with couples, with those with depression and anxiety, and addictions. I am trained in all the so-called letter therapies or trauma techniques including EMDR, and MPTAT, TAT, VK/D, OEI, EdxTM, EFT, TFT, and I have access to a neurofeedback therapist. While I no longer treat children, my knowledge of child development as well as transactional analysis, hypnotherapy, dissociative disorders and of all the new trauma techniques (some of which I developed, and some of which I pioneered in the province) means that I bring a huge amount of information and clinical expertise to my work. For the past 25 years I have specialized in the treatment of trauma survivors including those with complex intergenerational trauma, complex trauma, and those who suffered child abuse of all kinds. I believe that people have within them the capacity to heal & my job is to help unlock this.
